FMCSA Asking For Comments on their 5-year Strategic Plan

The FMCSA has invited the American public to comment on its draft strategic plan that will serve as a five-year guide to achieving it's mission to reduce crashes, injuries and fatalities involving large commercial trucks and interstate buses. You can view the plan and make comments through July 29, 2011.

The goals and strategies under this 5-year Strategic Plan are grouped into four strategic focus areas:

  • CMV Safety 1st Culture
  • Exponential Safety Power (SafetyX Power)
  • Comprehensive data and technology utilization
  • One FMCSA

FleetLegal Solutions strongly encourages our clients and contacts to take time to read the agency's "Strategic Plan 2011-2016" and post a comment to help guide the bureaucracy to focus on more on safety and less on creating more governmental intrusions and roadblocks to successful commerce.

"If once they ["our people"] become inattentive to the public affairs, you and I, and Congress and Assemblies, Judges and Governors, shall all become wolves."  Thomas Jefferson, letter from Paris, 1787
